Robin Watson's 1500 J1

Here are a list of changes made to my scoot since 1999

1500 JI, bought new from CRUISE UK in Preston,

Has had 4 colour changes two of which have been "two tone"

As you will probably remember, back then, there were very few bits you could buy for Drifters and so , like some, started to make them "in house"!

My bike is always under development, much to the annoyance of Sue!

But at present I have an imitation sprung front end, copied from a '49 chief, soon to be re-developed to make it lighter

Headlight has been lowered and placed 5" further forward from standard,

Working Indian head fender ornament

6" 12volt horn placed by the gear change and tuned to be LOUD!

Regulator re-sited to the front of bike for better cooling

Front fog lamp fitted

Imitation hand shift fitted ( soon to be made to work )

Original exhaust system junked, replaced by Vance and Hines longshots which I found too loud ! replaced with Cobra 2 into 1

Down pipes have header wrap on them to give that antique look, they also stop my waterproofs from burning!

Twin seat re-covered and fitted some hand made panniers

Single Pan seat ( not shown ) antiqued with boot polish ! and developed to fit a 1500

This seat can be fitted in about 8 minuets which includes removal of twin seat and panniers

Progressive front springs fitted

Hand painted black and white number plate

All stickers made by myself

I am at present collecting together all the finishing touch parts for the bikes final development
